Types

A type says what a thing is, and is drawn with a shape, a line style, and a line weight — never a color, which belongs to status. The channels are optional and independent: shape stays legible zoomed out, dashes read well zoomed in, weight carries across both.

0.25–10 — 1 is the shipped weight.

Type is the one filter that hides rather than dims — turn a type off and its nodes leave the tree.

Delete type

Items are never deleted with a type. A type still in use is refused, with the count of items to reassign first.
